Being a Mortgage Credit Analyst reviews and verifies property appraisals, collateral value, and key indicators such as debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios. Prepares a detailed credit analysis and summary using underwriting guidelines, risk assessment frameworks, and following applicable regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mortgage Credit Analyst work is closely managed.     What does a day as a Mortgage Loan coordinator look like?

    This position plays an integral part within our mortgage team. This position focuses both on member service as well as operational efficiency.   The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Works directly with the Mortgage Loan Officers to provide support in various aspects of the mortgage process by gathering necessary documentation, reviewing information provided, and ensuring a smooth transaction between all parties involved in the loan process. 
    • Communicates regularly with members and internal operations team concerning updates on the status of the loan to give efficient and accurate service that is in-line with our Leaders Credit Union brand.
    • Maintains courteous and professional atmosphere on both the phone and in-person meetings with our members and potential members. 
    • Tracks and coordinates timely delivery of correspondence to members and other third parties related to the processing of mortgage loans such as real estate agents and closing attorneys. 
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

    What is the schedule?  Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this.

     

    Does your skillset and experience line up?  For this role, we are looking for someone who:

    • Has 3 to 5 years of related experience
    • A two-year college degree or applicable specialized training
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
    • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
    • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • This position has significant work over the phone.  Listening skills, documenting skills and organizational skills are a requirement.
    • Must be self-motivated and driven. 
    • Must be comfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
