Mortgage Credit Analyst assesses the risk and creditworthiness of loan applicants and recommends loan approval, terms, or application denial. Gathers necessary credit, income, and tax information to conduct financial assessments. Being a Mortgage Credit Analyst reviews and verifies property appraisals, collateral value, and key indicators such as debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios. Prepares a detailed credit analysis and summary using underwriting guidelines, risk assessment frameworks, and following applicable regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mortgage Credit Analyst work is closely managed.     LOCATION: TBD - Candidate could work from any of the branch locations which are located in Tremonton, Logan, Evanston, Roosevelt, Spanish Fork, Richfield, Cedar City or South Jordan.

    COMPENSATION: Grade 10-11 ($55,000 - $70,000) Depending on education and experience, plus up to 15% additional performance based variable incentive compensation. Comprehensive benefits package also provided.

    RESPONSIBILITY: Prepares financial analysis, credit memos and loan monitoring of credits across the Association. In consultation with account managers, develops realistic loan structures, monitors loan performance; validates and reconciles financial information utilized in the credit decision process and completes industry specific research to validate key financial metrics. Ensures reporting of financial analysis and loan classifications are accurate. Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture, or business required.
    • Entry level candidates will be considered. However, prefer a minimum of at least two (2) years of agricultural credit, accounting or related agricultural financial reporting experience preferred.
    • Understanding of financial accounting and financial statements, including complex consolidations, tax return analysis, borrowing base reports, global cash flow and reconciliations.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of Farm Credit regulations preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of agriculture, accounting, business law and economics.
    • Applicant must have ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization and to convey ideas clearly. Skills in planning and organization. Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic. Ability to exercise initiative and judgment.
    • Proficient in the use of computer hardware and software common to the Association (i.e. Excel, Word, Windows, Hot Docs, etc.)

    GENERAL DATA: For over 100 years, the Association has been providing agricultural lending services to commercial and mortgage borrowers in Utah and portions of Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.
