Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. - Maintaining open communication with loan officers, attorneys, insurance agencies, etc. to ensure proper and timely processing of mortgage files
- Ordering preliminary title and appraisal reports
- Requesting borrower information needed for underwriter evaluation
- Organizing information for loan files and ensure information is in the correct order for underwriters
- Tracking the progress of each loan in process and obtain any addition information needed for underwriter evaluation
- Complying with all Federal regulations concerning secondary market mortgage lending
Candidates must also have knowledge in:- Bank’s secondary market policies and procedures
- Other bank policies and procedures as they apply to the secondary market lending function
- Loan platforms utilized by the secondary market department
- Federal regulations concerning secondary market mortgage lending
- Investors’ guidelines
A high school diploma or GED is required along with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email software and use of the Internet.
