Mortgage Loan Processor performs administrative tasks for mortgage loan processing. Collects and prepares necessary information such as loan applications, credit documents, and appraisals to process and complete mortgage loan files. Being a Mortgage Loan Processor verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness. Tracks and monitors due dates. Additionally, Mortgage Loan Processor ensures all documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Inputs and maintains all required transaction and processing records according to procedures. Responds to inquiries. Prepares required regulatory reporting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Mortgage Loan Processor works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. $50,000 plus bonus
Responsibilities:- Maintain detailed documentation of the process in our system - from origination to close
- Assemble and submit loan packages to the lender underwriters for approval or denial
- Order property and loan documentation such as appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records to help process mortgage loan files
- Act as a liaison between applicants, mortgage brokers and loan officers, real estate agents, and mortgage lending underwriters to help further loan approval
- Interview prospective loan applicants and assist them in finding the best loan products for their needs
- Must possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- We prefer an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business - High school diploma or GED required
- FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loan product knowledge and mortgage lending experience required
- 2 years minimum experience in loan processing required
