Overview
Position will report to the Loan Operations Manager, will be responsible for the management of day-to-day operations including planning, organizing and coordinating the functions and activities of the Retail Loan Servicing team in order to ensure the efficient boarding and servicing of retail and mortgage loans.
The Retail Loan Servicing Manager will provide leadership and guidance to the retail loan servicing team. Implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the unit. Responsible for ensuring the department’s compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements. Emphasis is placed on continuous improvement around operational process and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and coordinate the functions and activities of the Retail Loan Servicing team including: distributing work; maintaining schedules to ensure department coverage; keeping team members informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the department and/or their jobs and ensures they are trained/equipped to adopt/adapt to any change(s); holding team members accountable for meeting quality and production standards.
- Directly supervise an assigned team creating an atmosphere in which upward communication from team members is encouraged; fosters an environment of continuous improvement; performance is being managed effectively; assisting in the selection of new team members; developing existing team members and onboarding new team members.
- Engage in ongoing efforts to introduce and promote new methods for becoming both more efficient and effective in the servicing of retail loans and departmental goals are being met. Implement strategies to achieve goals assigned to the unit as established in the division’s annual operating plan.
- Develops metrics and action plans for evaluating and improving team performance; measuring productivity and quality against company and departmental standards. Routinely assess and evaluate the department’s need to implement, change or incorporate new technology or equipment (software and hardware) within Retail lending process.
- Continually review journals, articles, publications, and other material to stay abreast of regulatory and legal changes pertinent to the Retail lending operation; maintain oversight of all departmental policies and operating procedures and ensure that they are in compliance and aligned with overall Company policies and operating objectives as well
- as all applicable laws and regulations. Keep all stakeholders informed of changes in policies and procedures as the occur.
- Monitor all retail lending activities in the company, act as liaison between the retail Loan Servicing team and other areas of the Company including Credit Administration. Interface with the Central Recovery team (as needed) to assist in the collection of past-due loans and/or to protect the Company's financial interests in a workout situation.
- Resolve the more complex problems involving retail loan servicing and provide direct service to customers as needed.
- Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the other department managers, colleagues, and appropriate team members in order to achieve goals.
- Provide periodic reports upon request.
- Prepare budgets and projections.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study; specialized bank Retail lending education and training.
- Eight Years (8) of experience in related lending positions.
- Thorough knowledge of current lending regulations including federal, state and local laws.
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact Retail loan services.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to evaluate effectiveness of processes and procedures with a drive for continuous improvement.

Pay Range
USD $103,585.00 - USD $128,900.00 /Yr.
