Position Summary:
Leads the contracting process including developing MBA standard agreements and reviewing third-party agreements to which MBA will be a party. The Incumbent will create contract templates for MBA Education, Research, Meetings, and other stakeholders, document intellectual property licensing arrangements, draft and review a wide range of agreements, and review government contracts.
Working alongside and under the direction of the General Counsel, areas of responsibility include but are not limited to knowledge of general corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, contracts and licensing arrangements, e-commerce, hotel, convention and special event contracting, and general corporate governance. Familiarity with non-profit organizations, trade associations, federal election filing requirements, and antitrust rules for trade associations recommended.
