Mortgage Underwriting Manager provides quality mortgage loans to customers. Reviews and develops all aspects of mortgage loan guidelines to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Being a Mortgage Underwriting Manager monitors processes and systems of mortgage loans and promotes the new line of businesses. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Review and evaluate underwriting submissions while analyzing operational risks associated.
    Work closely with agents, customers, and internal stakeholders to maintain relationships and provide exceptional service and support.
    Ensure compliance with state regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all underwriting activities.
    Continuously monitor and update underwriting guidelines based on industry trends and emerging risks.
    Qualifications:
    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
    10 years of professional experience in insurance underwriting with an emphasis in Worker's Compensation and/or Occupational Accident preferred.
    Previous leadership or management experience required.
    Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
    Knowledge of the motor carrier industry is a plus.
    Location: Corporate Office in South Sioux City, Nebraska
