Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals. Being an MRI Technologist modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure. Performs routine inspections and maintenance on scanner and archives imaging data. Additionally, MRI Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires ARRT certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The MRI Technologist works under moderate supervision. Under the direction of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI and radiograp
hic procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis. Procedures include contrast and non-contrast examinations. Maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons. Document all patient related information in radiology information systems in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow. Follow all related magnetic safety screening protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
Experience:
1-2 years MR Experience
Experience Required in Extremity, Spine, Abdomen and MRA imaging on the Siemens Medical Systems imaging platform.
Licensing:
ARRT register in Radiography and MR
Valid State of CT Radiographer License
