Job Title: Project Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Location: NYC (on-site and remote work options after 9 months of on-site training)

Job Overview:

We are a fast-paced, accessible media and post-production studio in NYC looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead projects. This role involves managing workflows, coordinating with offsite teams, and ensuring efficient production processes. Our work focuses on audio description, captioning, ASL, PDF document remediation and WCAG VPAT/Accessibility Conformance Reports. Our work also includes video and podcast production.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead and manage the production team, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.

• Define project scopes, create detailed agendas, and identify technological and operational needs.

• Collaborate with offsite IT vendors and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.

• Oversee file management, server organization, backups, and archiving of project materials.

• Continuously enhance post-production workflows and build strong vendor relationships.

• Review and improve workflows and processes.

Production Coordination:

• Manage the creation and delivery of assets for corporate and ad agency clients.

• Define project scope, create schedules, and coordinate off-site production teams.

• Ensure production timelines are met, keeping internal and client deliverables on track.

• Overseeing in-house staff, including editing, and script approvals.

• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, team members, and management.

• Perform quality control on all assets being delivered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

• Effective communication skills with clients and team members.

• Attention to detail in internal processes and deliverables.

• Knowledge of production and post-production workflows.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Flexible, process-driven approach to problem-solving and project management.

• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working independently and within a team.

Technology Skills:

• Proficient in Mac OSX, MS Office, and Google apps.

Experience & Education:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (Required).

• Experience:

o 3 years of project management experience.

o Familiarity with Post Production Scheduling

o ASL Studio production is a plus.

Additional useful skills:

• Spanish, French

• Familiarity with Premier Pro, Media Encoder, Pro Tools, Mac Caption, or SWIFT

• Knowledge of ChatGPT, WCAG 2.0, 508, 504, and ADA regulations

• Experience with virtual conferences and meetings (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch break).

• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

• Late evening meetings with overseas vendors from time to time.
