The Director of Events position aims to elevate Strawbery Banke's event programming through our signature events, site rentals, and a food and beverage program. This position reports to the President and CEO, Thomas W. Haas Endowed Chair, and will work collaboratively with all Museum departments.
A successful candidate will have three or more years of event management experience, a strong attention to detail, and be able to work collaboratively and inclusively with multiple stakeholders. Strawbery Banke is looking for strong leadership and strategic planning skills with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals. Candidates should also possess excellent project management and budgeting skills, as well as effective communication and collaboration skills.
Strawbery Banke values work-life balance and this position will be provided with 240 hours of paid time off per fiscal year. This position is also eligible for health and dental insurance plans paid 80% by the Museum, Life, Long-Term Disability, and Short-Term Disability insurances paid 100% by the Museum, a flexible spending account for medical-related expenses, and participation in the organization’s 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 3% match.
