Maintenance Worker

    • Assists in water application to the lawns, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation is provided to maintain health and vigor.
    • Managing and controlling weeds.
    • Replaces air filters, lubricates fans or motors, vacuum or broom cleans air handling compartments and related work
    • Perform painting such as sanding, scraping, prepping, and coating with all types of paints, stains, and sealers.

    Qualifications

    In order to qualify for this position you must meet the following by the closing date of the vacancy announcement: 02/09/2024. Qualifications will be determined under the Job Element Rating System X-118C, Qualifications Standard Handbook. While a specific length of time and experience is not required for most Wage Grade positions, you must show through experience and training that you possess the best qualified level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of this position. Qualification requirements emphasize the quality of experience, not necessarily the length. The responses to the questionnaire and your resume should be in significant detail to provide the person rating your application with a good understanding of your ability to do the job, technical knowledge, work, and training experience, etc. (For example You must have the ability to perform the duties of a, Maintenance Worker without more than normal supervision (Screen Out)).     Physical Effort:
    Work requires moderate physical effort, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, repetitive aim and hand movements, and occasional work in uncomfortable or tiring positions. Incumbent works on ladders, scaffolding and in hard-to-reach places, and must be able to lift and carry up to 75-pound loads.

    Working Conditions:
    The work outside is subject to prevailing weather conditions. Incumbent must observe safety and security regulations where applicable.
