I. Job Summary
The Digital Director, Strategic Business Solutions (SBS), is responsible for leading and managing the Digital strategy, operations and services for WM’s national accounts business unit. This individual works closely with SBS leadership, the broader Digital organization and other stakeholders to align Digital initiatives with SBS goals and objectives. The Digital Director, SBS, leads multiple teams and oversees the planning, implementation, maintenance and security of Digital systems, applications and infrastructure for the business unit. This individual also fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration and customer service within the Digital team and across SBS.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Develop and execute the Digital vision, strategy and roadmap for SBS, in alignment with the corporate Digital strategy and SBS’s objectives.
Manage the Digital budget, resources and performance for SBS, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and timely Digital solutions and services.
Build and lead a highly effective and engaged SBS Digital team of employees, contractors and vendors, providing guidance, coaching and feedback.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with SBS leadership, the broader WM Digital team, other WM departments and external partners.
Assess the Digital needs and requirements of SBS, and recommend and implement appropriate Digital solutions and best practices.
Ensure the security, reliability, availability and scalability of Digital systems, applications and infrastructure for SBS, in compliance with WM Digital policies, standards and controls.
Monitor and evaluate the Digital trends, innovations and opportunities in the industry and the market, and leverage them to enhance the Digital capabilities and value proposition of SBS.
Promote and facilitate the adoption and integration of Digital solutions and services by SBS users and customers, and ensure their satisfaction and feedback.
Manage and mitigate the Digital risks and issues for SBS, and report and escalate them as needed.
Support and participate in the Digital governance, audit and compliance processes for SBS and the organization.

B. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Finance or similar area of study or, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
Experience: Eight (8) years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement) within Information Technology including at least two years managing a team of two of more individuals
Preferred Experience: Fifteen (15) years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement) within Information Technology including at least 5 years of IT leadership and management experience in a large and complex organization.

- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Digital strategies, plans and projects that align with and support the business goals and objectives.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Digital systems, applications and infrastructure, including cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture and IT service management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships with senior business leaders, where the candidate provided leadership to the business teams in improving business performance through technology, found innovative ways of solving business challenges, co-created solutions, and managed challenging Digital supply constraints.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and demands.
- Proven ability to leverage customer information to find opportunities and actionable insights and to turn those insights into effective execution plans that deliver measurable results.
- Highly motivated, innovative and customer-oriented, with a passion for delivering Digital solutions and services that create value and impact for the business.
- Must be a results-oriented, ROI, and data-driven executive who is grounded in metrics/analytics and can tie investments back to business growth.
- Demonstrated ability as a strategic thinker with strong process, technology, implementation, and interpersonal skills and capable of being both bold and thoughtful in his/her approach and discernment to know when to champion innovation and when incremental improvement is sufficient.
- Proven ability to build, lead, inspire and develop high-performing Digital teams, and foster a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.
- Possesses strong project management skills (waterfall and agile methodologies), with the ability to manage product development roadmaps and processes to ensure deliverables are achieved under tight deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing business and Digital environments, and embrace new technologies and opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and controlling Digital budgets, with the ability to forecast, allocate and optimize Digital resources and investments to achieve the business unit goals and objectives.
- Experience with Salesforce and custom-developed applications a plus.

The expected salary range for this position is $150,570 - 233,700. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
