JOB SUMMARY:
The Network Administrator
position provides technical and administrative support for LAN, WAN, and SAN
environment; maintains adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in
use to maximize efficiency of the network utilization; Provides written
documents and communication regarding daily monitoring, responsible for daily
backup monitoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Define hardware and
software standards in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Conduct research and make
recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards to enhance
infrastructure efficiency.
- Ensure the consistency and
maintainability of existing applications creating, maintaining, and
enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Assist in providing
computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems
reported by users.
- Maintain an adequate level
of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to
provide high levels of support to users.
- Monitor and evaluate
efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in
training of users, making them more efficient.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
& ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate
technical information to nontechnical personnel.
- Ability to install,
configure and maintain company computers, networks, infrastructure and
related hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer
and/or network systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to identify and
resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
- Skill in organizing
resources and establishing priorities.
POSITION TYPE
The employee must be
available to work 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and must work 40 hours
each week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties
demand.
TRAVEL
Occasional travel to
various office locations is required, as well as attending conferences and
training seminars.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a
professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, mobile devices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires
standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and
climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move
items over 50 pounds.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Information Technology, Network Administration, or related fields.
- Three years relevant experience in network administration, network
monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA
Network , CCNP
- Experience in the use and application of the
most current technologies and products used in the industry.
