Network Control Technician monitors performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies and troubleshoots network issues and follows procedures to resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Additionally, Network Control Technician follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. - Work with a team to improve technology usage and resources.
- Becomes familiar with Board of Education policies, services, and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

TITLE: Network Technician
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in k-12 educational institution
2. Two or more years experience in desktop and networked systems support
3. A , Network or MCSE preferred

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy for non-certified staff.
