Network Control Technician monitors performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies and troubleshoots network issues and follows procedures to resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Additionally, Network Control Technician follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     NJ Pest is a veteran owned and operated pest control company based in Flanders and serving Northern New Jersey with 90% of our business originating in Morris County. We work with customers to solve the pest related issues in a responsible manner and have been providing industry leading integrated pest management services for over 20 years and created a family environment for our team members. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a few good men/women to become Pest Control Technicians and join our team.

    Position Responsibilities:

    The Pest Control Technician works with the Pest Control Supervisor, office staff, and coworkers to solve pest related issues to a wide variety of customers. This role will be primarily responsible for hands on pest control, inspecting and identifying the pest problem(s) and solving the pest problem(s) using basic construction skills and outside the box thinking.

    Services include but not limited to:

    • Application of pesticides, in accordance with proper label requirements
    • Customer interactions
    • Keeping accurate service records

    The Successful Candidate Will...

    • Complete our training and learn the skills required to be responsible for the daily operations of a pest control technician
    • Follow a service schedule ensuring safe and timely arrival at each customer's location
    • Communicate (verbal and written) with customers to ensure a high degree of customer service and satisfaction
    • Serve as a problem solver for our customers and provide high quality and productive service in a timely manner that exceeds our customer expectations
    • Complete all required service-related documentation

    Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties:

    • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's guidelines
    • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs
    • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.

    Additional Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED required
    • Military or job-related experience is preferred, e.g., pest control, sales, customer service, field service, environmental services/sanitation, entomology, public health etc.
    • We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and criminal history check
    • Fluent in English
    • Must be authorized to work in the US
    • Must be able to pass NJ Pesticide Applicators Exam
