Job Description
As the Senior Network Operations Engineer, with an emphasis on F5 and PAN technologies, you will be the network expert and managing the network delivery to completion and ensure hand-off to necessary support teams. You will be responsible for establishing network security baseline configurations and continuously auditing existing configurations to ensure they are in-line with current best practices. You will also help design aspects of large-scale projects and help engineer, test, document, and deploy network infrastructure solutions. You will manage technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning and resolving issues
You will also ensure the successful implementation of technology projects by working with Solutions Architecture, Engineering, information security, and other departments
Skills:
5 years of experience with F5 and PAN technologies
4 years of experience with network solutions (switching, routing, load balancing and firewalls)
4 years of scripting experience (BASH, TCL/Tk, iRules, REST, JSON, or Ansible)
2 years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Strong Firewall Experience
Mid-to-top tier support for F5 local traffic manager or the Palo Alto Firewall
Development and tuning of firewall zones and security policy rules
Support for firewall migration efforts from old configurations to new
A deep understanding of the cyber security environment including network and/or application security issues, concepts, compliance, and certification
Demonstrated experience deploying, configuring, and administering the full suite of services provided by F5 BIG-IP or Palo Alto firewalls
Advanced knowledge of system architectures, computer networks, and software.
