Network Engineering Manager manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Manager conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. What We’re Looking For:
If you are passionate about space and deploying disruptive space technology, then you will be excited about the Senior Manager, Systems Engineering position supporting a Space Development Agency (SDA) project. As a Senior Manager, Systems Engineering you’ll be responsible for managing multiple activities and projects, including those with cross-functional teams, to facilitate and coordinate interactions between the Network Infrastructure and Software Development/Deployment Teams. You’ll bring enthusiasm about the possiblity of getting to lead and mentor your team and peers to take on the challenge of administration and maintenance of AWS (Amazon Web Services), On-prem Kubernetes, and Vmware clusters for both Arizona and remote sites across the company.

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
