Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall operations of the shop, including management of staff, inventory, finances and budget, the maintenance of equipment, and the provision of quality service to customers.     Requirements:

    • Maintain high quality repairs and minimize comebacks, and conduct checks of completed jobs for quality
    • Oversee diesel shop and schedule technicians to tasks on a daily basis
    • Manage technicians including hiring, training, and evaluating
    • Ensure all work is completed and meets all quality and safety standards
    • Uphold all safety standards and regulations including auditing for compliance and monthly safety meetings
    • Minimize downtime and drive timely service by prioritizing work on a daily or weekly basis
    • Monitor operation expenses
    • Develop long and short term goals and provide direction for the team through team meetings
    • Have knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
    • Must be experienced in heavy diesel engine diagnostics and repairs
    • Work with Parts Advisor to always be improving the overall profitability of each job and the shop overall
    • Keep current on new equipment or tools and recommend purchases to diesel technicians
    • Knowledge and use of computer aided diagnostic software and hardware is a must
    • Make customer satisfaction a priority, ensuring office staff are courteous and respectful
    • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to Tidewater Express Inc. guidelines
    • Attend quarterly management meetings
    • Approve employee time records and time off requests
    • Maintain a safe and working environment
    • Responsible for overall condition of the shop and shop equipment
    • Any other duties as assigned by the President
