Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Network Operations Manager

    Our client is a leading provider of managed wireless solutions to the multifamily and commercial building industries is looking for a Network Operations Manager to oversee the configuration, health, deployment, and improvement of our nationwide wireless networks as well as manage our internal network infrastructure.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the deployment and configuration of customer-facing wireless networks.
    • Oversee the deployment and health of our internal company networks.
    • Lead IT and development teams to determine areas of IT infrastructure needing attention or expertise.
    • Manage the overall workflow of the IT departments including IT administration, network configuration, equipment procurement, provisioning, and development.
    • Improve system performance including hardware and software decisions, server upgrades, database, security, reliability, and speed.
    • Develop and maintain back-end network architecture.
    • Manage the documentation of all networks both customer facing and internal.
    • Ensure back-up of all data
    • Keep up to date with equipment vendors and new releases and communicate new feature sets to team.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 3 years solid background in network administration and architecture
    • Hardware and software configuration WLAN, LAN, and WAN
    • Information security best practices
    • High level problem solving and communication skills.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)
    • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols
    • Familiarity with access control models and network security
    • Knowledge of coding languages
    • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
    • Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
    • Sharp troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently and with a team.
    • Organizational and mentoring skills
    • Ability to prioritize.
    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000 per year
