    Reporting to the Manager, Planning Logistics, the Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for leading the supply planning and purchasing activities at Highland.


    This person will assist the Manager, Planning & Logistics with converting demand plans into supply plans, developing procurement and inventory management strategies, and driving monthly sales & operations planning activities.


    This individual will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining a technical understanding of products purchased. Responsibilities will also include gathering quotations and obtaining equipment and services for electrifying school bus depots. This individual will monitor and report on purchase price variances and supplier performance (on-time delivery and quality).

    Responsibilities:
    • Partner with Sales Operations to translate demand plan for buses, chargers, and power distribution equipment into a supply plan.
    • Lead in preparing and maintaining the supply plan (monthly) for Executive Sales & Operations Planning process (S&P).
    • Perform purchasing activities, right-sizing inventory levels, and managing supplier on-time delivery for Fleet Operations and R&D.
    • Prepare purchase orders as needed for assigned categories and suppliers.
    • Develop and communicate action plans for resolving delivery issues.
    • Assist in the configuration and implementation of ERP system modules for purchasing and supply planning.
    • Continuously improve purchasing and planning processes through automation, standard work (procedures), and visual management.
    • Assist in developing inventory strategies for bus and charger spare parts, as well as, identifying a logistics partner to hold and transport inventory.


    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, finance or related discipline


    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1-2 years of experience with buying/planning in a service and/or manufacturing environment.
    • Technical knowledge of purchasing, logistics, planning
    • ERP systems knowledge and experience
    • Data driven approach to problem-solving
    • Process improvement mindset with a track record of implementation
    • Proficient in data analysis using Microsoft Excel
    • Experience working in technology-intensive environments; strong negotiation and analytical skills
    • Confident, high energy, self-motivated and a team player
    • Ability to operate in a fast paced, innovative, dynamic team
    • Proficient in presenting using Google & Microsoft 365 tools
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple unrelated tasks and to clearly communicate task status (verbal and written)
    • Ability to work with little supervision and thrive in a deadline driven, fast paced environment; proactive, systemic, and detail oriented in addressing challenges; passion for accelerating success and driving change
