POSITION: Health Planning & Accreditation Manager - Full Time (35 hours/week)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating and leading 1) the Health District’s
health planning and promotion activities that encompass community health assessment and
improvement planning and chronic disease prevention; 2) the Health District’s accreditation efforts. The
position shares leadership responsibilities with the Emergency Planning & Injury Prevention Manager to
ensure a highly-effective Health Planning & Promotion team. These responsibilities require collaboration
with Health District staff, community stakeholders, elected officials, and local partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (See position description for more details):
o Facilitates community health assessment and improvement planning processes in close
collaboration with the Seneca County Health Alliance. Ensures processes and plans meet national
accreditation standards.
o Develops and implements community engagement strategies to assure the active involvement of
community members and stakeholders in community health assessment and improvement
planning efforts.
primary contact with the Public Health Accreditation Board; manages and facilitates the Health
District’s Accreditation Team; develops and manages agency work plan for maintaining accreditation
and involving staff in the process; develops, documents, and implements changes necessary to comply
with national accreditation standards; orients, trains, and advises staff, Health Commissioner, and
Board of Health on accreditation requirements.
