Project Manager Job Description
Project manager responsibilities include generating the quotation, the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Project Manager will work directly with clients and outside sales to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of other team members in engineering, fabrication and outside vendors. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Project Manager responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients.
- Attend trade shows and training as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
- When needed, visit customer project worksites, clarify scope of work, communicate with PM Supervisor, and eventually prepare cost estimates and proposals. 5% travel

Work Environment
While a large part of the role entails working in an office environment, the employee may be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to work in high precarious places, and extreme heat and cold (non-weather). The employee is periodically exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
Training, Certifications, Licenses
PMP certification preferred
Valid State Driver’s License.
Protective Equipment
Safety glasses and steel toe boots when in production areas. Specific safety equipment as required by individual customer site.
