    Position Summary
    Wildlands Network seeks an Oregon Project Manager with a strong desire to provide outstanding
    project management skills to advance our work in Oregon and our Pacific Program more broadly.
    The Oregon Project Manager will report to and work collaboratively with our Pacific Program Director
    and our Director of Strategic Initiatives, Pacific Region. The selected candidate will be responsible for
    implementing the strategic direction for Wildlands Network’s Oregon program. This involves supporting
    and implementing Wildland Network’s campaigns through the development and maintenance of
    strategic partnerships, on the ground projects, communications, fundraisings, and other organizational
    functions as necessary.
    The Oregon Project Manager will work collaboratively with our dedicated and passionate Wildlands
    Network team across the US and Mexico. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently
    from a home environment (an office may be arranged if resources allow) and utilizing technology and
    other tools to communicate effectively with team members. The Oregon Project Manager must also be
    comfortable traveling and working in field environments when necessary for project site visits.
    This position requires outstanding relationship skills, crucial conversation skills, leadership, and a deep
    understanding of conservation strategy and policies applicable in both rural and urban Oregon settings
    including grass roots organizing, citizen actions, and political organizing. The successful candidate will be
    someone who brings strong organizational skills, a collaborative and team-oriented mindset, strategic
    thinking and a passion for science lead policy initiatives and place-based campaigns.
    The responsibilities of the selected candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Advocacy (65%):
    • Assist Pacific Wildway Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives on the development and
    implementation of Oregon specific projects;
    Demonstrated ability to work independently
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Ability to analyze, understand and translate complex scientific, legal and policy matters for
    advocacy purposes.
    Location: Portland, Salem, Bend or Ashland, Oregon. Other locations in Oregon may be considered
    depending on ability to travel and reliable internet connectivity.
    Starting salary: $55,000/year
