Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Design Manager with specialized expertise in advanced technology facilities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, planning, and execution of projects related to cutting-edge technology facilities. This position requires a keen understanding of engineering principles, project management, and a proven track record in delivering successful outcomes within the advanced technology sector.

This position is based in Reno, NV. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of design-side engineering projects for advanced technology facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Provide technical expertise in the design phase of projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client requirements.
• Review and approve design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and integrate them into the facility design.
• Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular design reviews and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Design Manager, Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager supporting design in the advanced technology facilities sector.
• Strong background in facility design, with a focus on technology integration.
• Excellent project management skills and proficiency in project management tools.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with state-of-the-art technologies such as cleanroom design, data centers, or semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient design practices.
