    Position assists customers with a full range of deposit related accounts and serves as a back-up with work associated with handling account transactions. Assists customers in opening and maintaining personal and/or business checking or savings accounts, Certificates of Deposit (CDs), Safe Deposit Box, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), or Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). Position uses knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell online banking services and to refer customers to other bank products. Promotes increased customer use of bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. Provides outstanding service while accurately performing account transactions. Position complies with all banking laws and regulations.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Explain the different types of bank products and services available to customers and assist them in the selection of the products that are most appropriate for their needs. Cross-sell and/or refer customers to other bank products and services such as personal/business online banking, credit cards and consumer, commercial and real estate lending. Open and maintain personal and/or business checking or savings accounts, CDs, HSAs, and IRAs. Enter and update information on accounts, and prepare, scan, and file all related documentation. Correct documentation errors from quality control review. Provide notary services as needed.

     

    Provide response to customer service-related requests and questions such as, but not limited to, the following: printing of Visa debits cards and ATM cards; address changes; processing Harland check and deposit tickets orders, and endorsement stamps. Assist customers with debit card and ATM disputes; placing stop payments; processing foreign and domestic wires. May provide Safe Deposit Box custodial services, maintain documentation and branch files.

     

    Identify and research customer service issues related to our online banking systems such as: resetting passwords, re-activating and unlocking NetTeller accounts. Assist customers with removing blocks from BillPay and resetting security questions. Resolve technical issues customers might encounter with the Glacier Family of Banks mobile application. Respond effectively to customer questions and problems.

     

    Processing Transactions: Complete transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while exhibiting patience, attention to detail, and following guidelines and procedures. Perform duties related to handling money/transactions including, but not limited to: processing deposits, withdrawals, and money transfers; processing credit card cash advances, foreign currency, and check transactions; completing Currency Transaction Reports; accepting safe deposit and loan payments; filling change orders; sorting, counting, and wrapping money for transfer to vault; operating coin machine.

     

    Balancing and Accuracy: Maintain accurate cash drawer and cash/negotiable instruments are in balance. Maintain appropriate cash limits in drawer. Document drawer overages/shortages.

     

    Perform duties related to Teller Capture by scanning work at teller station, storing and destroying the work based upon the retention record and emailing the Data Center at end of day with branch name and number.

     

    Promote the High-Performance Growth (HPG) program by discussing program with customers, and actively participating in Big Day and other HPG activities within the branch.


    About You

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Six months to two years of similar or related experience. Experience in banking environment is preferred.

     

    A high school degree or GED is required.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

     

    Working knowledge of cash handling procedures; banking compliance regulations and guidelines related to area of responsibility; and bank products and services. Skill in the operation and/or use of computer keyboard; office equipment, including calculators, copier, teller audit machines, coin and currency counters. Basic computer skills with working knowledge or ability to learn various office software.

     

    Communicate Effectively: both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Demonstrate soft phone skills by treating all internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
