Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Specialist serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. May handle more complex situations or issues. Additionally, New Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position Summary
The Policy Service Specialist works closely with policy owners, agents and branches to provide life insurance policy information and handle the administrative duties behind insurance policy maintenance, claim processing, dividend handling and commission payments. In addition, prepare all forms relating to service and maintenance of our policies, review them for accuracy and completeness. Make data changes to the policy system and process claims for payment after verification.

This job is performed in a professional office environment. This is a full-time position with business hours Monday through Friday. Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours may be worked as appropriate. Work is routinely performed using standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers, in a fast-paced environment.
