Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Lex East, Shelton CT
Summary: A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities of an assigned work team on a shift basis by directing assigned associates in the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer product in a manner consistent with service and cost objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Lead, supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and warehouse team towards company and departmental goals.
- Coordinate warehouse department’s work throughout the day for all South facilities.
- Work with purchasing and production department to follow the production schedule and ensure that production/assembly materials are available.
- Team with warehouse staff, purchasing, and production department to ensure inventory levels are accurately recorded.
- Ensure that consigned products are stored in consignment room, and only issued to job orders when needed.
- Work with and monitor cycle count process. Ensure that inventory is maintained at an accuracy of 98.5% absolute variance or better through cycle count, and root cause analysis.
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure assignments are scheduled and carried out, processes are followed, and safety procedures are in place.
- Train and supervise a staff of warehouse personnel.
- Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure order fulfillment accuracy, completeness, & condition of loads.
- Responsible for leading their shift in the efficient processing of freight including receiving, packing & loading for all customers.
- Inspects warehouse equipment for defects & notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
- Promote, implement, and follow safe work practices.
- As this job involves driving between facilities, one must maintain a current, valid driver license and clean driving record as determined by Lex.
- Being “hands on” to assist with various warehouse responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

- 3 years of warehouse and inventory management experience
- High school diploma or GED or any other equivalent diploma needs to have at least 2 years of more experience working in a warehouse/production department.
- Maintenance of a good attendance record to complete work assignments.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
- Thorough understanding and experience in Bills of Materials, routings, cycle count, the function of purchasing, the function of inventory control and order processing
- Solid understanding of MRP (Material Requirement Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning).
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Effective organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated, effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain data to accomplish company production strategies and goals.
- Experience in adapting to changes in the work environment.
- Ability to manage their time and staying on top of production schedules.
- Ability to motivate teams.
- Capable of maintaining current and accurate records.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
