Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Reports to: Plant Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises warehouse team members in a freeze-dried manufacturing, retail packaging, and/or shipping and receiving environment. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development and participating in making employment decisions.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and providing regular progress reports to supervisor.
- Responsible for transporting, staging, and loading freeze dried fruits and vegetables using forklifts throughout production and warehouse facilities.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment and production by performing duties to quality and productivity standards. Must be able to identify product and multiple lot codes.
- The Warehouse Supervisor will work with other departments to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the scheduler to ensure product is received to meet production schedule needs. Create a schedule to optimize chamber efficiency and changeovers. Track efficiencies against actual schedule (planned vs. actual).
- Provide warehouse with customer orders and ensure inbound and outbound shipments are scheduled accordingly.
- Perform daily cycle counts, working with the Plant Controller for variances and adjustments in NAV.
- Perform and manage quarterly physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Enter data for quantities of product issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and count adjustments, into computer database. Receive and issue finished goods into computer database. Serve as backup to administrative assistant to ensure daily production numbers are posted to the NAV system, record efficiency per chamber and yields.
- Create PO’s for raw materials (as needed)
- Create PO’s for production consumables.
- Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements. Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Proper use of safety devices, such as lock-out, as required. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Work closely with Ops team to include quality and maintenance with daily communications.
- Work with management and staff to ensure Plant KIPs are being achieved.
- Other duties as assigned.

FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Freeze Dry’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Hold self and others accountable to Thrive Freeze Dry food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
- In the absence of Production Supervisor, serves as back up to ensure all food safety, quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
