    SUMMARY
    Ultra-Tech, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Non-Destructive Technician (Level II). Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime is worked on Friday as needed.

    The Non-Destructive Technician (Level II) will independently perform inspections utilizing fluorescent magnetic particle and penetrant testing techniques seeking corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with technical data. They will perform inspections, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements. They will be able to communicate processes, procedures, report results and should be familiar with shop equipment operations with the ability to evaluate and exercise appropriate judgment.

    DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Establish and maintain NDT program, procedures and equipment
    • Perform non-destructive testing (fluorescent magnetic particle and penetrant)
    • Conduct system performance checks in accordance with customer standards
    • Perform cleaning and inspection of aircraft and ground support components
    • Identify structural and material defects
    • Visual weld inspection
    • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
    • Assist in controlling documentation
    • Interpret test results
    • Maintain proper segregation and identification of components in progress
    • Complete all required documentation in accordance with established procedures
    • Engage and support the organization’s Continuous Improvement activities
    • Perform good housekeeping and safety practices
    • Work under minimal amount of direction from the area supervisor/team coordinator
    • Effectively communication with co-workers and personnel in other departments
    • Interpret part drawings and illustrated planning
    • Follow work instructions to ensure the proper processing of parts
    • Adhere to PPE requirements
    • Other duties as assigned


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Current MT/PT NDT Level II certification
    • 5 Years of experience in Aerospace Industry a plus (AS9100)
    • General understanding of GD&T
    • Visual weld inspection experience
    • Customer focused mindset
    • General working knowledge of MS Office
    • Proven organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
    • Versatile team player with a positive, “can do” attitude and embraces multi-tasking
    • Motivated, self-starter able and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as needed


    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
    This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., with overtime being worked on Fridays as needed. There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs.
