    What You'll Do in This Position

    Seeking to hire experienced engineers to work within SRS facilities. SRNS is a company devoted to making the world safer through disciplined performance in producing and protecting nuclear materials for our nation's security, promoting global nuclear deterrence, and protecting the environment for future generations.

    Engineers may be assigned to one of the following specific facility operations and have discipline specific ownership and maintenance of the following types of systems among others:
    * Nuclear Chemical and Industrial Unit Operations
    * Industrial Mechanical systems (Nuclear and Non-nuclear HVAC, Rotating Equipment)
    * Instrumentation and Control Systems
    * Utilities (Power Distribution, Steam, Water Compressed Gases)
    * Civil/Structural (Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Dams)
    * Fire Protection Systems

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
    * Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems within Federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
    * Begin using SRNS systems and meeting SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.
    * Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals.
    Specific day to day tasks may include:
    * Work directly with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain system operability
    * System Configuration Control to include minor design development, component replacement, facility walkdowns, drawing reviews/updates, procedure development/review/approval, preventive maintenance identification
    * Usage of Federal/National Codes and Standards
    * Work package/system maintenance review and approval
    * Work with Design or Project Management organizations on large scale designs and projects

    Security Clearance Information

    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

    Bachelor degree in applicable science or engineering discipline

    Required Discipline/Major: Chemical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear Engineer, Civil/Structural Engineering, Process/Industrial Engineering,

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

    Qualifications We Desire

    Master degree in applicable science or engineering discipline
    Advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques
    Working knowledge of pertinent engineering practices and applications
