Nuclear Medicine Technician jobs in California

Nuclear Medicine Technician provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technician observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technician typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Cardiovascular Technician – Nuclear Medicine

    Reporting to the Department Manager and under general supervision, according to established procedures and protocols, the Cardiovascular Technician will perform treadmill stress testing, Holter monitor hook-ups, event monitors and the accompanying scanning or recording all test data and ensuring data is processed and labeled for review to be interpreted by dictating physicians.

    Required qualifications:

    • Completion of EKG Tech Program from an accredited vocational school or college.

    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

    • 6 months of Experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting

    • Experience with Allscripts, IDX, Cardiowrite, Word, Excel, Meditech, and Citrix.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree

    • Certificate in arrhythmia recognition and interpretation upon hire.

    • ACSM-CEP Certification upon hire.

    • 1 year of Experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting

    • EKG Technician experience.
