Nuclear Medicine Technician provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technician observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technician typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology. What Awaits You?
Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, performs all Nuclear Medicine imaging, uptake and dilution studies; assists with PET/CT imaging to provide quality
diagnostic exams while providing a high level of patient care; prepares radiopharmaceutical kits and patient doses; complies with State regulations regarding handling of radioactive materials; schedules all exams to ensure exam appropriateness and provides communication to families and physicians; coordinates daily patient flow.
Qualifications:
• Completion of an AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• 2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine
• ARRT and/or NMTCB registries
• Licensure by the State of Florida, Department
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekend, call or holiday work is required.
Salary Range: Minimum 32.71 per hour - Maximum 52.34 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
