Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care jobs in Southfield, MI
Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to manage care for patients in an acute care setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. - Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Position: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Midnights 12 Hour Shifts• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations
• Benefits: Full time benefit package- $15,000 Signing Bonus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
