As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide Urgent Care services to patients across the lifespan, including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
```Duties```
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion and disease prevention
- Perform procedures such as laceration repair, I and D of abscess, recognize and treat fractures etc.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Utilize electronic medical record systems for documentation
```Qualifications```
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner-ER experience preferred
- Proficiency in performing independent, in an acute setting
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of current healthcare trends and evidence-based practice
