Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic jobs in Indiana

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the immediate direction of the unit Nurse Manager and working leadership of a Lead Charge RN, or other designated clinical management as assigned, schedules outpatient preadmission testing visits as requested by the physician office and performs preadmission testing services for surgical patients. Prepares charts with history and physicals, orders, test results, completes in-person and phone assessments prior to procedure to enter necessary data into the EHR, and completes and applicable patient teaching. Works in partnership with physician’s office to ensure patient is informed and optimally prepared for procedure.

MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

Current Indiana state licensure as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN); CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within 3 months of hire in position.

Experience:

No specific experience required.

Education:

Completion of a licensed practical nursing program from an accredited school of nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing
