Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. - Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the facility
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care
- Supervise and lead a team of nurses, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations
- Create and implement care plans for patients, ensuring their individual needs are met
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and training as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, regulations, and best practices in nursing```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current state nursing license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care plans
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and shift management responsibilities
