    Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period

    Weekend rotation: As needed

    Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays

    Position Summary:

    The Nursing Home Assistant Director of Nursing position is responsible for patient care, management, coordination and directing of daily activities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Assist DON with managing day-to-day activities of the nursing department.
    • Responsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention and staff development.
    • Initiates the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services under position control.
    • Complete evaluations for direct reports.
    • Acts as on-call person for all questions in the absence of DON.
    • Maintain Regulatory Compliance with DHS 132 and all CMS Regulations.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

    Position Requirements:

    • Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree in nursing preferred.
    • 2 years of related work experience preferred. Supervisory experience a plus.
    • Maintain and hold Wisconsin RN license.
    • Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
    • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Possesses skills and knowledge in the following areas: strategies of nursing management, foundations of long-term care regulations, Medicare & Medicaid guidelines.
    • Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
    • Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential.
