Nursing Services Instructor jobs in Maryland
Nursing Services Instructor is responsible for identifying training needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of staff development programs within an assigned area of responsibility. Coordinates in-service training, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions. Being a Nursing Services Instructor ensures compliance with all State and Federal guidelines for in-service education and new employee orientation. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Services Instructor requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nursing Services Instructor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. .Job Responsibilities:
- Working one on one in the client's home
- Complete nursing assessment
- Administer medication & treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care
- Document nursing notes in a clear and concise manner
Job Requirements:
- Active/unrestricted nursing license in the State of Maryland or Multistate compact license - Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Confidence to work independently
- Basic knowledge of G-tube/Trach care is preferred; however, willing to train qualified and interested candidates.
- Vent experience preferred (willing to train qualified candidates)
- Pediatric experience a plus
