Nursing Supervisor jobs in Vermont
Nursing Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in patient care units. Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments. Being a Nursing Supervisor ensures that patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance. Monitors patient recordkeeping activities for accuracy, completion and compliance with all regulations. Additionally, Nursing Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). The Nursing Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What You'll Do:
As a Nursing Supervisor, you will lead an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care and ensure the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include oversight of the facility operations, safety, cleanliness and compliance to nursing policies, procedures and regulations.
Fulltime RN Supervisor on evenings; Flex schedule (1p-9p)
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising and guiding nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Overseeing daily operations, including staffing assignments and resource allocation
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Conducting regular assessments and audits to maintain quality standards
- Providing mentorship, training, and support to nursing staff
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of a Nursing Supervisor include:- Valid state nursing license
- Advanced degree or certification preferred
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
