Occupancy Specialist
Position Status: Full-Time
Location: Asheville, NC and surrounding areas (Henderson County).
Education Requirements: High School Diploma, preferably HUD Section 8 experience, and at least 2 years of experience in the field of automated record keeping. Must be able to function in a Windows environment and have applicable computer knowledge and experience.
Experience and Responsibilities: The Arc seeks an Occupancy Specialist to support the operation of the Housing Division, in the Asheville Office. Candidate must be professional, able to handle confidential information appropriately, must have extensive knowledge and experience in compliance and regulatory procedures, and have proficient oral and written communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of requisitions and generating all forms associated with tenant’s certifications, transfers move-ins, move-outs, etc. Requirements will include communicating with Local Operators regarding policies. Procedures and follow-up relating to occupancy/tenant information. Maintain information on vacant units and be responsible for updating weekly vacancy reports. Working knowledge of TRACS and EIV systems is highly desirable.
