The Margaret Murphy Centers for Children are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Lewiston Location! Here at MMCC Occupational Therapists lead the process of development, implementation, and coordination of Occupational Therapy (OT) services for center-based as well as outpatient clientele. Job responsibilities include screening, evaluation, educational programming, transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and discharge planning will be provided to students as appropriate. The Occupational Therapist must be able to collaborate with other disciplines and services, use sound clinical reasoning and professional judgment, and independently review outcomes and modify treatment plans for identified students.
The Occupational Therapist must be knowledgeable of and comply with state and federal regulations, mandates, and requirements within the field of Occupational Therapy and special education under the Department of Education.
Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Certifications: Licensure as an Occupational Therapist within the State of Maine as well as current certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
