ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The School of Health Professions (SHP) Department of Occupational Therapy (OT) seeks to hire an instructional faculty. This position will be one of the 1.0FTE for the UT System sponsored Laredo Program. Responsibilities include job duties of a site coordinator for the Laredo campus (Administrative stipend and release time). This is a accreditation requirement to have a site coordinator as we develop the program, prepare for accreditation approval, and launch the program fall 2025. Funding has been provided by UT system.
Duties include: Teaching, Advising, Scholarship and Service. Additionally, this individual is required to communicate and coordinate, with UTMB Galveston Chair and Program Director. The administrative duties include managing the day-to-day operations at the Laredo campus; coordinating local lab and clinical experiences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The faculty will have an earned doctoral degree (post-professional) and demonstrated clinical practice experience. Faculty will be experienced in teaching in a hybrid-blended learning educational program. Local established contacts with health systems and community partners is an asset. Administrative and accreditation experiences beneficial to managing the additional program site.

Post-professional doctorate; Administrative experience; Accreditation experience; clinical practice; teaching in a hybrid program.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
