Office Automation Analyst analyzes and recommends office automation equipment and peripherals that can improve productivity and efficiency. Installs and maintains equipment. Being an Office Automation Analyst creates training materials, trains and supports end users. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Office Automation Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Office Automation Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Under broad supervision, performs advanced level finance, accounting and fiscal control functions. Performs and/or oversees financial planning, documentation, analysis, reporting and system development. Leads and coordinates the design or implementation of financial/accounting/budget related systems and reports. Enforces compliance with laws and regulations governing financial instruments, taxes, real estate and securities transactions. May also serve in a lead role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications
Associate degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional job-related experience in accounting, billing and collection systems, or claims; Four (4) years of professional job-related experience in general accounting, billing, and collection systems and/or claims; or One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Financial Analyst 2 (FIP061) or equivalent position.
Agency Specific Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a business curriculum or related field from an accredited college or university
· Possesses professional level work experience in accounting or related financial areas.
· Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting project financial reports, queries and data.
· Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills.
· Demonstrates strong skills in Microsoft Office including advanced excel experience including pivot tables and database management.
· Demonstrated ability working effectively with managers, staff, other department personnel, and external organizations in a cooperative and professional manner.
· Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change.
· Committed to providing quality customer service.
· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.
· Displays a high level of initiative and ethical conduct
Agency Preferred Qualifications:
· Demonstrated strong knowledge of and experience in processing Federal transportation funding requests and with the documents and terms used in Federal transportation funding.
· Demonstrated strong knowledge of and experience in using State and Federal financial management systems such as TPro, the FHWA Financial Information Management System and Teamworks (PeopleSoft).
· Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in using Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and develop new procedures when existing methods are inapplicable.
· Demonstrated strong initiative and ability to make independent recommendations to improve workflow and procedures

In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
