  • Duties

    • Utilizes word processing software to produce a variety of documents.
    • Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a computer workstation that is networked/linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area/organization.
    • Performs a variety of recordkeeping, reporting and general office duties to support outdoor recreation.
    • Types correspondences, reports, forms, messages and/or memorandums.
    • Provides accurate information on the activities to authorized patrons in friendly, timely and courteous manner.
    • Serves as primary assistant for daily financial transactions.
    • Inputs daily financial information into centrally managed database system.
    • Establishes, updates, and maintains office records of various types that will assist in the efficient operations of the activity.
    • Establishes, maintains, purges, and disposes of office records/files in accordance with regulations and procedures.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Qualifying Experience:
    • Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactory at the grade level of the position.
    • In addition to the above requirement, applicant is required to demonstrate possession of a high degree of proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Experience and skill in use of various software to accomplish tasks.
    • Must have knowledge of basic internal controls.
    • Must satisfactorily complete an installation, state, and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
    • Must be able to work uncommon tour of duty.

    Education

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position DOES NOT allow for education substitution.
