Job Summary:
Responsible for being an automation resource, which includes participating in initiatives to create, automate and test automation solutions. Will work closely with the Data and Business Automation Manager to document and improve business processes and proactively seek automation opportunities to create efficiencies with bank software. Will build, troubleshoot and test automation solutions to provide an optimal solution for end users following the Solution Development Lifecycle. Responsible for providing secure, accurate reports, workflows and automation for management and authorized end user using applicable bank reporting tools.
Will provide secure, accurate, responsive, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers at all times, while maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and banking relationships.
Primary objective of this position is to be a trusted advisor to every internal and external customer. Inspires confidence and builds lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisory skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Works with Supervisor to participate in automation initiatives with other bank departments using automation tools including: planning, testing, and defect and change requests.
- Ensures the accuracy and adequacy of automation solutions through thorough testing procedures and making adjustments to maximize efficiency.
- Ability to create effective support and instructional documentation, procedures and operating instructions for inclusion in automation solutions library to end users.
- Works diligently to produce automation solutions for the bank based on priority provided by Supervisor.
- Responsible for obtaining and fully utilizing a proficient understanding of report and automation tools, including but not limited to Cognos BI, Teslar, OpCon, OpCon RPA, Enterprise workflow, and other report writing software.
Other Job Functions:
- Analyze project requirements to produce a project estimation and timeline.
- Responds to automation related issues and provide support where necessary following change management and SDLC when changes are required to existing automation solutions.
- Identifies and prioritizes tickets and projects according to bank and departmental need.
- Performs data analysis using first and third party software used throughout the bank.
- Maintains current knowledge with respect to technology and bank policies.
Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
- College degree, technical trade, or equivalent experience in business automation.
- 3 or more years of experience within the Banking or Finance industry.
- Good technical knowledge of computer administration, data elements and codes, numerical analysis and equipment utilization.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience with RPA, workflow and other emerging automation tools a plus.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with report writing tools such as Cognos BI and other bank specific applications.
- Preferred experience with some products including but not limited to:
- SQL database administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
- Knowledge of basic math calculations.
- Good computer keyboards skills.
- Ability to read and understand regulations, policies and procedures; uses grammatically correct and clear oral and written communication.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work well within team environment presenting a positive customer service demeanor and attitude.
- Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity.
General Physical Demands and Workplace Conditions:
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects within the immediate work station.
- Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions:
- Atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation;
- Changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
- Other physical attributes required to successfully perform the essential functions above include finger agility, talking, and listening.
