    The EOTSS Security Operations Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Cyber Detection and Response (CDR) to lead our Cyber Detection and Response Team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and overseeing a best-in-class team of security analysts, driving the implementation of our CDR strategy, and ensuring the organization's proactive protection against evolving cyber threats. You will be a trusted advisor to leadership, playing a key role in shaping our overall cybersecurity posture and response capabilities.


    The primary work location for this role will be 200 Arlington Street Chelsea, Massachusetts 02150. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM EST. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed (currently a 40% on prem and 60% remote work arrangement).


    Primary Responsibilities:


    • Lead and manage a team of security analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
    • Act as primary coordinator and point of contact during the response, analysis, and containment of escalated security incidents.
    • Team Management responsibilities including performance management, career development, employee engagement, team building and success planning.
    • Define key security metrics, tracking and reporting of all Security Incidents.
    • Develop and implement communication plans and escalation protocols for cyber incidents.
    • Lead meetings, bridge calls, and status updates during incident response events.
    • Provide technical support and insights to non-cybersecurity experts in the organization.
    • Track and document response activities, decisions, and required remediation.
    • Provide leadership and guidance during high-severity security incidents and crises.
    • Guide the prioritization of incidents and allocation of response resources.
    • Report on incident summaries, impacts, and post-mortems for leadership.
    • Generate standardized report templates on Mean Time to Contain (MTTC), Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR), etc.
    • Drive process improvements by incorporating lessons learned from incident critiques.
    • Develop and update incident response plans, runbooks, call trees, and communications templates.
    • Stay up to date on current trends in the cybersecurity threat landscape.
    • Evaluate current technology and tools and identify gaps in technology stack.
    • Implement and operationalize new technologies within Cyber Detect and Response Team tool stack.

    Skills and Expertise:


    • Five (5) years of experience in Incident Response/IT Security Operations, preferably in a private, public, government, or military environment.
    • Experience leading teams during high-stress, time-sensitive security events.
    • Knowledge of incident response frameworks and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and people management skills.
    • Investigative mindset – The ability to gather and analyze relevant information to help make informed decisions.
    • Understanding of security technologies including SIEM, firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, Network Monitoring, etc.
    • Project management experience is a plus, but not required.
    • ServiceNow experience is a plus, but not required.

    Certification(s):


    • Relevant certification(s) such as CISM, CISA, CISSP, or GCIH are desired, but not required.
