    Clinical Social Worker-E (9 to P11) - POSITION DESCRIPTION
    At the entry level, the position provides employee assistance services to Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) employees and family members to facilitate the resolution of work and personal problems affecting job performance, and to provide traumatic incident stress management services to employees experiencing a traumatic incident in the workplace.

    This position is a direct provider of employee assistance services and receives day to day guidance from the Employee Services Program.

    Clinical Social Worker-A (12) - POSITION DESCRIPTION


    In a senior capacity, provide comprehensive employee assistance services to high-risk Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) employees and family members to facilitate the resolution of work and personal problems affecting job performance, and to provide traumatic incident stress management services to employees experiencing a traumatic incident in the workplace.

    This position is a direct provider of employee assistance services and receives day to day direction from the Employee Service Program.

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    Required Education and Experience

    Education
    Possession of a master's degree in social work.

    Experience
    Clinical Social Worker 9
    No specific type or amount is required.

    Clinical Social Worker 10
    One year of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 9.

    Clinical Social Worker P11
    Two years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 10.

    Clinical Social Worker 12
    Three years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker P11.

    In addition to the education and experience requirements at the 9 to P11 levels:

    • One to two years of experience working, interning, or volunteering in an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is desirable.
    • Applicants must possess a State of Michigan Master Social Worker Limited License.
    • Certificate in Critical Incident Stress Management: Group Crisis Intervention and Advanced is desirable.
    In addition to the education and experience requirements at the 12 level:
    • Two years of experience working in an Employee Assistance Program setting, and training and experience in providing critical incident stress management services are desirable.
    • Applicants must possess a State of Michigan Master Social Worker License.
    • Certificate in Critical Incident Stress Management: Group and Individual Crisis Intervention is desirable.

    Position Location/Remote Office: This position will work remotely. Occasional travel to the office located at Grand Tower in Lansing, MI may be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:
    o A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
    o A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
    o Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.

    As a Condition of Employment: this position requires successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
