Office Services Supervisor oversees and manages the daily activities of office staff to ensure efficient operations, service delivery and expense control. Implements procedures and policies for all administrative activities. Being an Office Services Supervisor typically manages record-keeping, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, bill or invoice processing, maintenance services, technical support, project coordination/scheduling, and other related internal operations. Oversees the selection of vendors and the purchase of office equipment and supplies. Additionally, Office Services Supervisor coordinates resources to troubleshoot, determine the best solutions, and solve problems. Tracks and analyzes operational costs and monitors budget. Recruits, trains, and coaches office staff to achieve optimal performance. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Office Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Office Services Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Overview:

     

    The SMA business within Lord Abbett is growing and we are seeking a unique individual to help lead our SMA Family Office Services for ultra-high net worth clients.  This professional will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, and client service expertise are essential to maintaining and enhancing our business. The Supervisor role is responsible for the delivery of world class client experience while ensuring scalable operations and efficient delivery of services. This individual will provide leadership while overseeing the successful onboarding of client relationships, ensuring personalized investment objectives are met, managing fraud risk, trade execution, liquidity management and ongoing relationship management.

    We’ll trust you to:

    • Develop and execute high-level strategies for the SMA Family Office, aligning with the organization’s overall objectives!
    • Build and lead a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Help identify and prevent fraudulent activities by leveraging your deep understanding of our clients and their behaviors.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
    • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery within the SMA Family Office.
    • Stay informed about financial market trends, economic developments, and investment opportunities to make informed decisions.
    • Work closely with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to achieve organizational goals.
    • Work with our middle and back-office colleagues to ensure an exceptional client experience.
    • Execute, process and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions.

    You'll need to have:

    • 10 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in managing teams and overseeing SMA Operations
    • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or a related field; MBA or CFA highly desirable
    • Strong interpersonal, communication skills (written and verbal), and follow-up skills
    • Proactive, collaborative team player
    • Knowledge and experience of Security APL application
    • High sense of urgency, and high degree of initiative and self-motivation
    • Exceptional organization and time management skills
    • Resourceful with excelled problem-solving skills
    • Innovative, high energy, dynamic

    Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $160,000 - $175,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

    Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
