Oil and Gas Superintendent oversees daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. Supervises and directs employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance, and/or construction through foreman and other lead staff. Being an Oil and Gas Superintendent requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Oil and Gas Superintendent manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. * | Responsible for pick-up, unloading and accurately completing paperwork. |
* | Responsible for completing/maintaining reports concerning deliveries and vehicle inspections and preparing manifest and Inspection logs for truck. |
* | Stays within all posted speed limits and complies with all Matheson, DOT and State safe driving laws & procedures. |
● | Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle. Maintains the vehicle in a clean and proper condition. |
* | Maintains good communications with supervisor and management especially safety and customer matters. |
* | Operates / Drives forklift truck as required for loading and unloading of product. |
* | Sets tone for employees by good example through observation of the company's Loss prevention policies and procedures. Reports accidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obeys safety rules. |
* | Uses effective time management tools in order to follow through on work commitments and scheduled deadlines associated with own job; obtains agreement of all stake-holders within a development program to identify issues, minimizes risks at an early stage, ensure safety, and on-time delivery. |
* | Participate as an active member of the local safety committee when assigned according to the rotation process. |
* | Perform other projects and duties as assigned. |
* | Occasionally filling cylinders according to proper procedures. |
* | Responsible for safely transporting and storing filled cylinders. |
* | Responsible for correctly completing all required forms, logs, reports or checklists. |
* | Responsible for communicating or associated equipment deficiencies to supervisor. |
* | Reports accidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obeys safety rules. |
* | Perform other duties as assigned. |
* | One to five years related experience preferred |
* | Class A or B Commercial Driver*s License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement |
* | Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) certificate a plus but not required |
* | Applicable state and local licenses may be required |
