NOV is hiring for an Assembler to assist in our shop. The assembly of new, refurbished and repairing generators for NOV Portable Power.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sound attenuation installation
• Pre-Wire alternator (generator end)
• Pre-Wire control panel and breaker box
• Install engine and alternator in skid package
• Install radiator and coolant piping
• Install muffler and exhaust system and wrap with exhaust blankets
• Install fuel piping and hoses
• Install house on skid package
• Wire engine to control panel and generator to breaker box
• Fill engine with coolant and fuel
• Load test generator package.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties requested by the manager.
• Perform inventory count (monthly)

JOB ANALYSIS:

• Mechanically inclined
• Basic knowledge of wire schematics
• Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings
• High school diploma or equivalent

Training required during and after probationary period is met. List training, how training will be accomplished and required time schedule:

• Basic safety training. Employee trained by NOV’s 3rd party training company within 30 days.
• Mechanical Assembly. Works with a mentor 2-6 month.
• Electrical Assembly. Works with a mentor 2-6 month.

Employee is required to supply all hand tools (1/4” to ½” drive socket wrenches, ¼” to 1” open end wrenches and electrical tool (meter, cutting pliers and crimpers.
